Split is the main urban, cultural and traffic center of Dalmatia. This 1700 year old
town is a part of UNESCO’s world heritage, with its numerous archaeological, historical and cultural monuments among which the famous Diocletian’s palace takes a special place. Split has an attraction and warmth of a modern Mediterranean town. It is also the metropolis of sport in which many famous and popular sports clubs and competitors take part. There are a lot of sports grounds, which can be used by recreation lovers, and beaches situated in the town and nearby it.
This city is full of cultural life and entertainment, especially during the summer when Split, with its shops, yards and other places, becomes a big stage under the clear sky
After a meeting and after being welcomed by guide, passengers will be taken through the path of history throw the historical parth of the town.
is Diocletian’s palace, today heart of inner city of Split and part of UNESCO world heritage. Visit of well preserved cellars of Diocletian’s Palace which architectural purpose was to raise the imperial residential area in the upper floor, walk up the stairs to Peristil. Peristil was meant to be used by Diocletian and the cult of living son of Jupiter, whose temple will also be seen.
Admire Cathedral of St. Duje (St. Duje is patron of the Split), originally the mausoleum of Diocletian.
The sightseeing will end in Riva the beautiful waterfront with a lot of restaurants and cafes.
