Description:
After being welcomed by guide, start with exploring heritage included in UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
Diocletian’s palace, today heart of inner city of Split and part of UNESCO world heritage. Visit of well preserved cellars of Diocletian’s Palace which architectural purpose was to raise the imperial residential area in the upper floor, walk up the stairs to Peristil. Peristil was meant to be used by Diocletian and the cult of living son of Jupiter, whose temple will also be seen.
Admire Cathedral of St Duje (St Duje is patron of the Split), originally the mausoleum of Diocletian, for which is said that is the oldest Cathedral in the World.
The historical core of Trogir is a unique monument of culture, which is included in UNESCO’s World Heritage List. Walk through its narrow street and go back in past by passing stone houses, churches, palaces, monasteries, walls etc. Stop in front of Cathedral St. Lawrence and take a breath before entering this main attraction in Trogir. Together with its Romanesque portal created by the local artist Radovan this Cathedral is considered to be one of Croatia’s finest pieces of architectural work. There will be free time for shopping and resting in one of the cafes situated inside city walls. Return Split.
